Shopping via Easy Fundraising helps the Hall

Burton Memorial Hall has an Easy Fundraising account, and we would like to ask you to  help us raise funds for the Hall by using the shopping links on the Easy Fundraising website.

Each time you make a purchase or sign up for a service  from one of the retailers or service providers partnered with Easy Fundraising the Hall will get a donation, the sums range from 25p to over £30.  Click this text link Easy Fundraising to get started -  it will soon add up if we all do it.

If you also opt to add the Easy Fundraiser Donation Reminder browser addon* it will tell you whenever you visit a site that is partnered with Easy Fundraising - read how to do that here Donation Reminder

The best thing of all, is that it doesn't cost you a penny more to support the Hall via Easy Fundraising and around 5,000 online retailers are partnered with the scheme, so there is a very high chance that the places you shop are on that list!

Burton Memorial Hall new doors August 2021

New doors for the Memorial Hall

On 3rd and 4th of August, 2021, our new white uPVC double-glazed entrance doors were installed, replacing the tired, old, single-glazed wooden doors which let in the draughts and ran with condensation every winter.

The work was done by D.J. Glazing Ltd. of Kendal, who have replaced the difficult double doors with a wider single one, to make access easier for anyone with a wheelchair or baby buggy.

The lower panels are solid to help retain the heat, whilst the upper panels are glazed to allow good visibility and light in the entrance lobbies.

Our grateful thanks go to The Hadfield Trust for their generous grant which helped to pay for the new doors, which will improve security, accessibility and comfort for users of the Hall.
